Nursery:

3 & 4 year old Sunday School:
Drop off the little one before you head into Mass and let them spend some time growing in their faith. Mary Ann Barker will give a lesson from the Pflaum Gospel Series for that Sunday. The children will have hands on lessons, sing, play, and crafts to reinforce the teachings for that Sunday lesson. So come on let the children learn on their level and have fun with children of their own ages. Drop them off before Mass starts.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word:
5 years old – 3rd Grade.
The Children’s Liturgy of the word takes place during the “Liturgy of the Word” section of the
The children are invited to come to the altar for a blessing, and then are led by the adult facilitators (Patsy Prewitt and also parents that rotate each Sunday). The readings that they hear are from the children’s lectionary and correspond with the readings the adults are hearing in the church. Following the readings the children enter into a discussion of the readings they heard, and how they can relate them to their life. The children recite the Apostle’s Creed, and participate in their own Prayers of the Faithful. Returning to Mass occurs following the Prayers of the Faithful. Parents this is a great way for our children to hear and learn the Mass at their level. We want to provide an informal setting that helps our children grow in their faith.
K5 – 8th Grade.
Religious education for children attending non-Catholic schools; meets every Wednesday evening 5:30 to 6:30.
Children’s Choir:
We are looking for children that would like to sing with us. The choir will sing one Sunday a month at Mass. We have had several that have signed up to be in the St. Joseph Children’s Choir, but we want to give all the children a chance to sign up. If you have already signed up you do not have to sign up again, but if you have not and want to come sing with us please sign up. You will be hearing from us soon about when we will be practicing.
Parents are invited to attend with their children if needed, and we encourage all children to attend in the age group.
