Music Ministry

Join together in song, under the talented direction of our choir director. Rehearsals on Wednesday evenings, 5:15 pm. Sing at 10:30am Sunday Mass, as your schedule allows. Contact the choir director at thill@stjosephgreenville.org or calling 662-335-5251.

 Rosary

Unite as a community praying the Rosary for the sanctity of all life from conception until natural death. 5:05 pm Saturday, Sunday 7:35 am and 10:05 am before Mass the recitation of the Rosary. No experience required. Mentors provided. Contact the church office for more information

Eucharistic Adoration

Tuesday from 7:00AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 am to noon. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus in the Adoration Chaple.

Finance Council

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Offertory Counters

A group that counts the funds collected at  weekend Masses each week. Each group volunteers about once a month.

Parish Pastoral Council

The PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Some of their activities include: Visits and Communion to the homebound and nursing homes, Bereavement Food Committee, Homebound Food Committee, and Healing Mass Luncheon Committee. 

Senior Altar Server

Men and women who assist at Mass or Funeral masses to enhance the worship of our faith community.

Stations of the Cross

Held Friday evenings at 5:30PM in the church during Lent.

Usher

Volunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection.

 

Tuesday Night Prayer Group

Join us Monday nights at 6 pm in the church to read and reflect upon the upcoming Sunday’s Gospel, Liturgy of the Hours, and prayer.

Altar Server

Boys and girls from grade 3 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy.

Baptism Preparation

Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith.

Eucharistic Minister

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.

Fellowship Committee

Volunteers who coordinate social activities and gatherings of parishioners during the year.

Flowers and Grounds

Volunteers who care for and beautify the grounds and church.

Lector

Reader who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and other services.

Liturgical Linen Service

Responsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens.

RCIA

Rite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments. Begins September 4th.

Sacristan

The sacristan prepares the materials necessary for the celebration of the liturgy: the books, the vestments, the vessels, the bread, and the wine.

Gift Bearers

Volunteers who carry the gifts up doing Mass.

St. Monica's Prison Ministry

Shining of the light of Christ the second Monday of every month with Christian programs at the Washington County Correctional Facility.
